A love letter to life, summer, and Berlin, capturing the city’s spirit – told with humor and heart by a young Berlin talent.
Alba, a chemistry lab technician, spends her days analyzing the fat content of milk and sitting by the window of her Berlin apartment. But everything changes the moment a power socket starts talking to her. It’s Death – and he gives Alba five tasks. If she fails to complete them, this will be her last summer. Alba hates being blackmailed by a household appliance, but what choice does she have? On her first task – a blind date – she meets Marlon, a yoga teacher with an apple-pie smile. And so begins Alba’s emotional journey back to life, and perhaps her final Berlin summer.

“I didn’t want a summer that felt like an entire life. I didn’t want to face challenges. I didn’t want to talk to a socket, claiming to be Death. Everything I wanted was to sit on my window bench, while the world was rushing past.”
