Although Billie met gorgeous Jamie only eight months ago, she knows he’s her one true love. The idea of being away from this charming Canadian is simply unbearable. So, Billie decides to spend her last year of school abroad in Canada, at her Aunt Flo’s in Maple Ridge, a small town surrounded by misty mountains and deep forest. The moment she arrives though; Billie meets a mysterious boy called Tristan. At first, she’s scared of him – after all, his nickname is Zombie Boy – but then she learns that a recent head injury has left him completely changed. As friendship blossoms between Billie and Tristan, Billie’s relationship with Jamie suffers, and Jamie’s fairytale-prince-image begins to crumble. When Billie begins to suspect Jamie had something to do with a local girl’s disappearance, things take an even darker turn. The inhabitants of Maple Ridge are terrified, and Billie is the only one close to discovering the truth.
